For some time now, I've been involved in directing and production supervision, utilizing extensive experience in live studio/remote-based news production and community programming. My strengths include ability to sense production needs and audience-focus, dealing effectively with dynamic, rapidly changing environments and the challenge of live programming. Directing and operations management complemented by ability to assess and draw upon personnel strengths, coordinating lighting, remote coordination and all aspects of production, as well as personnel motivation.

May, 2002 to Present TVG Network/Gemstar, Inc Los Angeles

Live programming for digital cable/satellite delivered interactive NTRA horseracing network in a very fluid environment. Coordinate multiple live racetrack remotes, heavy graphics and tape load. Coordinate remote talent and coverage with in-house talent/coverage. Direct from various race tracks, including Del Mar and Hollywood Park and Los Alamitos Race courses.

1997-2001 CNN/Sports Illustrated Atlanta, GA

Coordinated program elements with producers prior to air. Organized scripted programs for air. Directed live programming for domestic and international networks, while maintaining a relaxed atmosphere. Assisted troubleshooting of production systems/servers. Completed daily shift reports. Completed written staff evaluations to reflect performance and suggested areas of improvement.

Production Supervisor/Lead Director

Directed "Larry King Live!" and "Crossfire" nightly.
Supervised and coordinated staffing of 3 control rooms and other production facilities in an ever-changing, stressful and deadline-intensive environment while keeping an appropriately relaxed working atmosphere. Directed live programming, keeping focus with television consumer needs. Implemented the production facilities request system in place to this day. Advised engineering personnel on facility retrofits and changes, utilizing my gathered input of staff using the area. This included considerable work in the original design of the current DC facility. Met with other networks and with government agencies as a key participant in areas regarding upcoming productions. Suggested and worked with vendors on remote productions. Rented remote and studio equipment.

1995 "Larry King Live!" 10th Anniversary
Washington DC & New York, NY

Directed a series of specials, culminating with a live show from The Ed Sullivan Theatre, interviewing David Letterman.
This production was the only live broadcast originating from that venue since Ed Sullivan.

1992 "Larry King Live!" from the Presidential Campaign Trail.
This series was a Peabody Award recipient.
